The UK Credit Finance Centre - A Web site Story

Martyn & Yvette Spencer are directors of the UK Credit Finance Centre and took delivery of their Intergage Web site in late summer.

They have attended the various Intergage seminars that they run for their customers locally and have now taken control
of the marketing of their new finance Web site themselves.

Martyn has 25 years experience in Financial Services but is keen to point out is not a web designer - something he had any never had true experience of, prior to becoming an Intergage customer.

Previously they had numerous .com finance websites but had several issues that could not be fully resolved without a new site. Their old sites were Google unfriendly being set in "Frames"and used limited SEO strategies becuase of this. These Web sites were hosted by a popular provider but based abroad, something that they were not aware of at the time as to how this could seriously affect their SEO placement going forward. As Finance is a very competitive internet arena, they realised they had to play both smarter and harder than the their competitors to stay ahead.

Problems and Issues

Martyn says, "Our old Web sites were always costing us money. Due to regular changes in Finance Products & Regulations, every time I had to change our online literature, our web developers would take forever to get round to updating it correctly as they were not really web specialists, like many people who claim to be so in the marketplace.

Often they would get it wrong before they got it right, charging for the privelege. It became so expensive updating the Web sites, that we realised in 2006 we had to seek an affordable alternative. Like most Web Developers, they charge at least £70 +VAT per hour. With the frequent changes that we needed to make to our various sites, I often spent many hours per week devising & sending to them online as attachements the necessary changes; this soon started to become prohibitively expensive".

Our search for an ideal solution lead us around the UK in early 2006, talking to various companies that featured high on the search engines in their fields of expertise.Some speciliased in web design only, some in natural SEO, some in PPC SEO, some in e-mail marketing and others speciliased in selling just content management systems.
